Skip Counting with Money

Today, we pretended to go to a toy store
a bought many different toys!
This was to help us with skip counting by
2's, 5's and 10's.
We went to purchase toys with nickels, dimes,
toonies,
5 and 10 dollar bills.
Students were given a price and they had
to skip count with the money until they reached that number.
They drew the number of coins and showed their skip
counting.
This could be a fun way for you to practice skip counting at home.
If you have some change,
have your child count by 5's with the nickels
or by 10's with the dimes, and so on.
