Preparing for Winter
Today, we looked at how animals will begin to prepare for winter during the fall.
We learned there are 3 important
ways that animals prepare for the harshness of winter,
migrate, hibernate, or adapt.
Geese migrate and fly south for the winter.
Bears gorge on food on food in fall then hibernate for winter.
Squirrels adapt to the winter by burying food in fall that they will dig up in winter when food supply is low.
