Halloween Fun!

Today was a very exciting day!
This past week, all students have had a chance to 
do some little pumpkin 
measuring activities.
We created pattern pumpkins!
We did some "Just Dance Kids" Halloween themed dancing for gym time.
Thank you to Mrs. Taylor who bought everyone their very
own little pumpkin to decorate!
We drew faces with sharpies and googley eyes
or painted our pumpkins!
 For work period, we had some math and language  Halloween themed activities students could choose!

    Oh how fabulous Halloween fun it was. I bet that everyone enjoyed it to the fullest. At the local event halls for rent my family is going to attend a funky Halloween themed event in the next month and after seeing these photos, I am also thinking to join them.

Today was such exciting afternoon! After a previous discussion on the characteristics of  solids, liquids and gases, some students were wanting to know if slime would be a solid  or a liquid. We decided we wanted to explore this further. One student was so helpful in bringing in 3 containers of slime for us to explore! Thank you to this student! Ms. McCullough decided to add in Oobleck to the experiment as well. We described both the solid and liquid characteristics of slime and oobleck then wrote a conclusion on whether it should be classified as a solid, liquid or both and explain why. Science

Students are coming home with a labelling of caterpillars and butterfly body parts.  Students should be able to explain how the body parts help in their lives. They are also bringing hone some sheets we did while experimenting  In our “Exploring Liquids” student.
