Made By Momma's Birthday Project




Starting Thursday morning, there will be a box in the office for collecting unwanted Halloween candy to give to Made by Momma's Birthday Project to help fill goodie bags, provide birthday parties and stocking stuffers to families in need! Feel free to send your unwanted candy from Halloween with your child to donate to this great cause!  The box will be out during our upcoming School Dance as well!

Oobleck and Slime - Liquid or Solid???

Today was such exciting afternoon! After a previous discussion on the characteristics of  solids, liquids and gases, some students were wanting to know if slime would be a solid  or a liquid. We decided we wanted to explore this further. One student was so helpful in bringing in 3 containers of slime for us to explore! Thank you to this student! Ms. McCullough decided to add in Oobleck to the experiment as well. We described both the solid and liquid characteristics of slime and oobleck then wrote a conclusion on whether it should be classified as a solid, liquid or both and explain why. Students are coming home with a labelling of caterpillars and butterfly body parts.  Students should be able to explain how the body parts help in their lives. They are also bringing hone some sheets we did while experimenting  In our “Exploring Liquids” student.
